Ajax boss Henk Ten Cate had his request to hold midfield prodigy Hedwiges Maduro back from Holland duty accepted by Under-21 coach Foppe de Haan. The Amsterdam club were concerned that the World Cup 2006 participant has not had enough time to rest over the last year.
