Tropical Storm Lane becomes hurricane 



CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico -- Tropical Storm Lane became a Category 2 hurricane Friday as it roared toward the tip of Baja California, lashing Mexico's Pacific coast, flooding port cities and causing a landslide that killed a 7-year-old boy.

Hurricane Lane claims two lives 
Powerful Hurricane Lane thrashed western Mexico, threatening tens of thousands of people with flash floods and causing a second death on the Pacific coast before losing some of its punch.

Lane Weakens To Tropical Depression 
Hurricane Lane slammed into a sparsely populated stretch of Mexico's Pacific coast south of the city of Culiacan on Saturday after battering the resort of Mazatlan with strong winds and rain. CBS News Interactive: Storm Tracker

Tropical Storm Lane nearing hurricane strength 
MEXICO CITY Tropical Storm Lane is lashing Mexico's Pacific coast. There's a hurricane warning for Isla Marias and a hurricane watch from Manzanillo to Cabo Corrientes.At last report, Lane's top winds are 65 miles per hour with higher gusts.
