Jupiter dominates planets appearing in the July sky 



July's evening sky is filled with planets: Saturn, Mars and Mercury are visible low in the west just after sundown, while giant Jupiter dominates the sky as darkness falls. Saturn is the brightest of the first three planets to appear. The ringed planet is found in Cancer, the Crab, and follows the sun below the horizon about an hour after sundown.
