[Sports] Vacation and competition intertwined on Gophers' trip across the pond
It's not often a sports team can call a road trip a vacation. But when Minnesota's volleyball team starts a seven-match, 12-day European tour June 12, it might be as close to one as some of the players have ever had. "It's my first time actually going overseas," senior Malama Peniata said.

Ringing in 50 years
Forty years ago, Sara Dalgleish Chason dreamed about singing with the Jills. In 1972, she got her opportunity. Last week, she relived the thrill of stepping onstage with the all-female handbell and voice chorus from Bloomfield Hills Andover High School at the Jills' 50th Anniversary Reunion Concert, which took place at the school.
