U.S. Economy Probably Expanded at a 5.6% Rate in First Quarter
June 29 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. economy expanded at an annual rate of 5.6 percent in the first quarter, propelled by a surge in consumer spending that won't be repeated this quarter, economists said before a government report today.
