Hilton Man Admits Counterfeit Fraud 



A Hilton man pleaded guilty to fraud charges in federal court. Federal authorities said John Myles, 27, took part in scheme to defraud several banks. Investigators said he recruited people to cash in counterfeit checks on several occasions, and paid them with part of the stolen money.

Council Approves Security Cameras 
Before the city budget vote, city council members approved about a dozen amendments to the budget. They restored funding for a part-time counseling position in the Rochester Police Department's Family and Victims Services Unit.

Suspects Caught After Chase 
The Monroe County Sheriff's Department took two burglary suspects into custody after a chase through several communities Monday afternoon. It all started in Hamlin at about 2:00pm Monday afternoon when a man came home and found a strange truck in his driveway.

Orleans Man Guilty in Methadone OD 
An Orleans County man has admitted to giving a methadone pill to a U.S. Coast Guard member who later died of an overdose. Donald Heard, 24, of Waterport admitted he gave the pill to Patrick Cooley, 20, last fall at a party.
