TOKYO, Aug 17 (Reuters) - Oji Paper Co. Ltd. , Japan's biggest paper maker, on Thursday came up against stolid resistance from a shareholder of its takeover target Hokuetsu Paper Mills Ltd. , underscoring its uphill battle for its smaller rival.
